There are three ingredients in every pie Piazza 17 makes. Awesome, incredible and booyah. Yes, booyah. Lots of it. Seriously, these guys are the real deal and bring the heat to Manhattan’s NoLita neighborhood.
So when they asked us to help them bring their delicious labor of love to life, we were pretty stoked. One, because their awesomesauce (real word) is out of this world. Two, they’re just great, talented folks with a solid vision.
After doing some edible research, we dug our heels in and gravitated to the vibe of an old, Italian sidewalk joint. The real classic kind of place, with a vintage, hand-painted sign, weathered, wind-beaten and distressed by sunlight and time. We think we landed on something that matches the spirit and character of the chefs and their food. We also think that all this pizza talk is making us hungry. Who’s in for a slice?
